Principal's Message
Welcome to Ridge Crest Elementary School, home of the RAMS! Serving as Ridge Crest Elementary principal for the 2023-2024 school year is a great honor. I plan to continue as a "Leader in Me" school. Our students, staff, and families study the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. My goal is when you are on campus, you can feel the leadership growth among all our stakeholders. We intentionally plan to make connections with students and their families.
Throughout the year, exciting things will happen in our classrooms and on our campus! We encourage you to get involved by joining our Parent Groups, volunteering at school activities, and taking an active role in your child's education. The elementary years are some of your child's most important and fundamental years. I desire to keep the focus on increasing student achievements and doing what it takes to help ALL our students succeed. Coming to school each day on time and prepared is a skill needed for student success. I believe that learning should be FUN and that an elementary school foundational experience should pave the way for future educational experiences to include preparedness for college and career. Please partner with us here at Ridge Crest in your child's experience.
We applaud you parents for your involvement in our school community. Research demonstrates that high parent involvement is the number one factor in determining student success in school. Parental involvement can take many forms. Besides getting your child to school on time, read to your child every evening to grow their vocabulary and imagination, and communicate often with your child's teacher to monitor your students homework, progress and grades. Collaboratively, we all partner to contribute to Ridge Crest student success.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Shelly M. Larson
